Ric & Maggie's Story

Ric met Maggie in Australia while she was on holiday. They fell in love but were separated as she had to return to England to run her hotel. Ric soon followed to be with her.

Maggie wanted to show Ric how lovely the Island was, and it was on one of their trips, they came across the Essex Cottage. At this time, the place was definitely in need of some tender loving care. However, they both believed they could turn it into something very special. They wanted to be together and work together, so renovating the cottage to its former glory seemed a very good way to start. They bought the cottage in 1999, and since then have totally transformed it, managing to create a very special atmosphere - elegant, friendly and very cosy.
